A new and interesting addition to our wedding programme, mountain weddings are available
at Profitis Ilias, an Alpine-style retreat approximately 40 minutes drive from both Lindos and
Rhodes Town.

A scenic route through
pine-covered hills leads to the
newly refurbished Elafos Hotel,
built in 1929 during the Italian
colonial era.

Nestled at the base of Profitis
Ilias (named after the Prophet
Elijah) the third highest
mountain on Rhodes at 2,400ft,
the hotel offers the nostalgic
quality of an Agatha Christie
film set combined with updated facilities and efficient service.
Profitis Ilias, perhaps the
greenest and certainly one of
the most peaceful parts of
Rhodes, is a welcoming
mountain wedding venue.

Byzantine Church
The small church of Profitis Ilias,
built on the site of the ancient temple to Helios,
the sun god, is located in the grounds of the hotel.

St Nicholas
This famous, rustic little church
at nearby Fountoukli, approx 10 minutes
drive from Profitis Ilias, the church of
St Nicholas of the Hazelnuts, known for
its 13-15th century wall paintings.
It must be emphasised that the church
of St Nicholas is small and simple,
but rich in atmosphere and history.

Reception Venue

The Elafos Hotel (Albergo Del Cervo) is named after the
Rhodian Dama Dama Deer who still roam the forests of
the Kamiros area where the hotel is located.

The colonnaded restaurant is an elegant remnant of the
Italian colonial period, already developing a reputation
for excellence since the re-opening of the hotel.
The restaurant is perfect place for a mountain wedding reception.
