We find it helpful to provide our clients with an outline of the procedures and critical deadlines
leading up to and including the wedding day, acting as a prompt and reminder for all concerned.
Of course we shall be
available at anytime to answer questions and accommodate any requests you may have at any point leading up to the
wedding.
We trust you find the following a valuable tool
so that you can organise your arrangements in the UK and understand the wedding procedures required to marry in Rhodes.
Booking Your Wedding
Stage 1
Upon confirmation from the client to proceed with the wedding, verification of all information
available at that time will be confirmed by email together with a quotation and deposit invoice
for 20% which is based on the wedding package. This deposit is non-refundable.
Stage 2 When funds have cleared our bank account the wedding date will be booked with the
registrar. A receipt will be sent back to the client acknowledging the deposit and this will be accompanied by:
* A detailed record of the necessary current Greek legal documentation
requirements
* And most importantly, the critical dates: these need to be processed
and made available both in the UK and in Greece
(Please note that we request all documents sent to us are by recorded delivery)
In addition we shall advise the amount of the final payment and due date, which will be 6 weeks prior to arrival.
Stage 3
When final payment is received (6 weeks prior to your arrival) notification
will be given of the date and time of your consultation meeting. This meeting will be
as soon as is practical and typically within 2 days of your arrival and the meeting will normally take up to 2 hours.
Your Arrival
As arranged we will meet with you for consultation. This meeting will take
approximately two hours
and we will cover all the aspects of your wedding day including a visit to your selected reception venue where you will be introduced to the owner and final arrangements will be dealt
with including tasting of the wine!
The Wedding Day
The Wedding Day - we have 2 co-ordinators allocated to carry out all necessary behind
the scenes functions and arrangements during the day as necessary.
The dedicated co-ordinator will make a brief early morning telephone call to the bride and
groom to establish whether there are any last minute requests or concerns.
Your co-ordinator will arrive at the bride’s accommodation
and will have already spoken to the additional co-ordinator
who will be in place at the wedding ceremony venue awaiting the arrival of the groom and wedding guests.
They will greet them and introduce the groom and best
man to the registrar who will outline where he wants
them to stand etc. The photographer (if booked) will be
in place to take photographs of the Bride and Groom
arriving at the church.
Before accompanying the bride to the church we ensure that if there is a previous wedding,
the bride and groom have left the church so that the two brides do not cross.
Following the photography session after the ceremony,
one co-ordinator will accompany
the wedding party on the boat for the champagne reception if arranged. They will then
escort everyone to the reception for dinner.
The reception venue will already have been checked and dressed as requested by a
co-ordinator for your arrival. A co-ordinator will stay on hand at the venue for several hours which is usually until the Cutting of the Wedding Cake.
Please Note:
* Two witnesses are required for the signing of the registrar
(minimum age 13 yrs)
